Bus repeater and RS232 converter extend the range and establish a serial connection. 

The NOX RPT is a bus module that extends the range of the NOX bus and allows for the serial connection of external devices with an RS232 interface. It can be used as either a repeater or a converter and offers switchable galvanic isolation for electrical decoupling. The NOX RPT is integrated into the DASK housing for top-hat rail mounting.  

Typical Areas of Application

Extension of the system bus in large buildings or distributed properties 

Integration of external alarm transmission devices with an RS232 interface 

Use in areas with earth potential differences (e.g., due to separate power supplies or multiple buildings) 

Combination with fiber optic converters to extend the range with galvanic isolation over longer distances
